Ridder-HortiMaX climb to 18th place in Hillenraad 100

At the Hortigala dinner on 30 October, it was announced that the Ridder-HortiMaX group had climbed 20 places in the Hillenraad top 100 top, rising from 38th to 18th place. We're extremely proud and excited of this ranking in the top 100 of leading Dutch horticultural companies. We would like to think all our partners and customers for their trust and support.

 A fantastic 18th place
The combination Ridder-HortiMax was awarded 18th place in the list this year. CEO of the Ridder Group, Albert 't Hart, said: "We certainly hadn't expected to climb so far up the list. This ranking is fantastic news! We're extremely pleased to receive such recognition for our strategy and way of working by a jury of experts led by former Dutch minister William Vermeend. The Hillenraad's jury report Hillenraad says it all."

Hillenraad jury report
The evolution of HortiMaX, part of the Ridder Group, is a striking example of customization. Prior to the takeover, HortiMaX produced exclusively for a high-tech target group in the Benelux. In keeping with the Ridder Group’s strategy, there has been a switch to technology that seamlessly merges with markets in different stages of development. It refers to it as ‘best fit growing technology’. The technology develops seamlessly and fluidly with the local grower. And it has come up with a term for that too: ‘adaptive technology’. An innovation like Synopta 4 is perfectly in keeping with that approach; growers only pay for the functionalities they actually use. Another outstanding addition to the range is the launch of Ridder Climate Screens. Ridder is now going to manufacture and sell screens itself. A new segment for this business, which consolidates much of the expertise within Ridder. All in all, the enhanced strategy is now really starting to bear fruit. The business simply needed time to analyse in which countries its key customers were located and to subsequently establish sites there. Particularly in Canada, the USA and Mexico, growth looks good. The first steps have been taken in China and things could suddenly pick up speed there too. The company is on its way up.
