Ridder-HortiMaX climbs to 14th place in Hillenraad100

On Friday, 28 October, the Hillenraad100 was announced during the Hortigala awards ceremony. After last year's meteoric rise up the rankings, Ridder-HortiMaX has moved up another four places to a surprising 14th place. Continuous developments in our product portfolio and corporate strategy, as well as working as a cohesive group, have contributed greatly to this exceptional ranking.

Best Fit Growing Technology
Joep van den Bosch, CEO of HortiMaX, attended the awards ceremony on behalf of Ridder-HortiMaX: "Our philosophy of ' Best Fit Growing Technology' is paying dividends: we can offer customized technology for various markets. That was quite different a few years ago when we focused mainly on the glass greenhouse sector. Now our product range includes much simpler and more basic systems for markets such as poly tunnel operations. Recent product launches such as the HortiMaX-Go!, which won the Innovation Award for automation at the GreenTech 2016, meet completely different needs. But also systems like the Ridder PolyDrive and FertiMiX-Go! are great examples of how our product range has developed. "

Greater group cohesiveness
"Technology and especially its correct use are what we find extremely important. Different technologies must work well together. It's something we're focusing on more and more. Customers appreciate that and come to us for this integrated technology. The cornerstones of our company are drive technology, growing technology and screen technology. These are the main components for growing crops under protection", said Joep van den Bosch.

Continuous improvement
"But we are not done with change. We aren't satisfied yet. There is still much room for improvement and much to do. International horticulture will see much more change as a result of automation and the use of technology over the next few years. It is the key to higher and more efficient production in order to meet the growing demand for food. That's why it's a great compliment when the Hillenraad says that we as a company are at the forefront of that development "
